Trampoline Assembly

Hello Shirley Tverbut,

Thank you for your question! You asked for an opinion of cost on a job. Here was your question: "To put a trampoline and enclosure net on top up. It took me 5hrs. it was a a5ft round."

I would have to assume that you did the assembly in an efficient manner without too much wasted time and will use your 5 hour estimate as a starting point.

If a handyman were to do the job for you, he/she would have to spend more than just a few minutes interpreting the instructions and figuring out the assembly. You might have a jump on the handyman because of your familiarity with the assembly. Regarding the actual assembly, this handyman might be able to shave some time off of your estimate by using the most efficient tools available. Your estimate would be high if you were disadvantaged by your tools. Let's assume that it would still take the handyman 4 hours. At a rate of $50 per hour that would be $200. This seems high to me since much of the extra time spent was wasted in trying to figure out which end is up.

If you wanted to pay by the job, it would be great to find someone to do the assembly for $125-150.

Hope this is of some help and thanks for asking,
