Contact Request - Is it possible to make a good living as a handyman?

Lonnie,

I’m glad to hear that your computer problems are solved.  For your convenience I’ll send you an email in the next few minutes with the book attached.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you don’t receive it.

Regarding the money to be made as a handyman, I have found that you can make good money if you charge properly for your services.  I certainly understand the tendency to under charge and strongly encourage you to set your rate high and stick to it.  You can always give your customer a discount when you calculate the bill if you feel you should.

Rates are not the only factor in making a decent living as a handyman.  The number of hours you are able to work and the number of days spent on the job are just as important.  Because of the physical requirements of the job it is very important to pace yourself.  Your body can withstand just so much strain so you have to be careful to charge a high enough rate to make a living in those hours.

Hope this is of some help,

Bob

Dear Bob,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you...computer problems.  I placed an order in mid November and was unable to download due to a poor internet connection.

I believe that I have solved the download problem on my end...hopefully.  Could you please reset my ability to download your product?  If you could I would appreciate it.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, is it possible to make a good living as a handyman?  I know that is a broad question and depends on many factors.  I enjoy doing the odd jobs after working as a union plumbing apprentice during the day, however, I want more than that.  I would love to be my own boss and enjoy helping people solve their home repair problems.  My issue is, I tend to under value my work.  Any advice?

Best Regards,

Lonnie
